Klatovy is situated at the foot of the Šumava Mountains. With a population of 23,000 Klatovy is the second largest town in the Pilsen Region.
Due to the composition of the buildings involved, the EPC project in Klatovy was quite varied. The base consists of primary and nursery schools. Two town hall buildings, two homes for the elderly and Klatovy cultural centre are also included.
The basis of austerity measures was individual heating control with adjustable heating curves and timing modes separately for each room in the building. Further savings were achieved by the installation of the LED lamps and flow restrictors on the drinking water outflow fittings.
