The austerity measures are focused on the recovery of heat from the cooling cladding on cupola furnaces and its use for heating of production halls and cold production on the absorption cooling machines.

During cooling the furnace shell there was originally waste heat of 3 MW dissipated by cooling towers. In 2007, a project was developed to use this heat to heat buildings and prepared a study on cold production on absorption machines. The reconstruction of the heating system in the part of the complex where the original steam system was replaced by a hot water system, connected to the waste heat from the cupola furnaces, was carried out through contractors.
