Prague Congress Centre, Inc. has been one of the most significant congress centres in Europe for many years.
In more than 50 halls, lounges and meeting rooms it offers enough space for congresses with up to 9,300 participants. By 2016, the cost of electricity, gas and water swallowed almost 2.7 million EURO annually. Therefore, the Centre has decided to modernise energy economy with the use of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC). The costs of implementing austerity measures in heating, cooling, ventilation, cogeneration and lighting reached 4.7 million EURO and will gradually be repaid from future contractually-guaranteed energy savings. Energy management will provide a further increase in savings as its benefits have been verified on several similar objects, such as the National Theatre, the Rudolfinum, the theatre of Stavovské divadlo (The Estate Theatre), and more.
The complex of measures will bring savings of 7.9 million EURO in 10 years, which represents a decrease in consumption for energy by 30%. For more information see here
